Amélie Company Selected as Official Honoree at
12th Annual Webby Awards

Denver, CO – June 10, 2008 – Amélie Company, a Denver-based advertising, public relations and marketing agency, announced today that its Web design work on creditunionfacts.com was selected as an Official Honoree at the 12th Annual Webby Awards, the leading international award honoring excellence on the Internet, including Web sites. Fewer than 15% of all entries submitted receive this distinction.

Creditunionfacts.com is part of an overall branding campaign for the Credit Union Associations of Colorado and Wyoming featuring an “Average Joe" character who finds himself in a variety of funny financial situations. The entire campaign was designed to brand credit unions as the preferred place to bank in Colorado and Wyoming for those hard to reach 18-34 year olds – Gen Y and Gen X. All of the campaign messaging drove people to the www.creditunionfacts.com Web site, where consumers can get the facts for themselves.

The site was designed to engage the young target audience of 18-34 year olds with a fun way to navigate through the world of “Average Joe” and provides users with an immediate and interactive way to explore Joe’s town and find the information they want.

Amélie Company’s cutting edge design team, led by Senior Art Director Anita Ashfield-Salter, developed the look and feel of both the branding campaign materials and Web site.  Ashfield-Salter is a decorated art designer, having already received a Diamond Award for this campaign. Her other awards include a Hermes Platinum and Create Magazine Gold Award and a first place finish for an original television commercial created for the KBCO “Lights, Camera, Action” contest.

“A large segment of our target demo grew up with the Internet, so it’s like second nature to them.  This gave us a great deal of freedom in how we were able to structure the site, without a traditional layer or hierarchy,” said Karen Morgan, Credit Union Association of Colorado and Credit Union Association of Wyoming Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications. “And the ability to scan or float through the information easily and without commitment was a huge plus for this target group.”

“It’s really an honor to win this kind of an award,” said Robin Ashmore, Amélie Company Principal. “It gives credibility to what we do every day and is well-deserved recognition for our design team.”
