Amélie
Company answered the call for entries to create at 30-second television
commercial promoting Boulder radio station, KBCO. The concept was the
brainchild of Anita Ashfield-Salter, Art Director at Amélie Company.
“In looking at the one thing KBCO stands for, we concurred that it’s
the lifestyle,” said Ashfield-Salter. “KBCO is about great music,
absolutely, but in our minds it also aligns with an active lifestyle,
an appreciation of the outdoors, vibrant urban scenes, contemporary
culture and a passion for live music.”
Tabor Carlton, who
produced the video for Amélie, commented, “As an antidote to the linear
and photographic realism of video, we opted for a storybook style
featuring layers of animated graphics that pop in, out or over one
another, giving the spot a fresh, playful feel.”
The radio
station received hundreds of entries and narrowed the list to five
finalists last week. From those five, the winner was then determined
via an online poll. To watch “Lovin’ The Life”, please visit the Amélie
